Once again, it was as great Sunday Sail. Water was warm, food was good and conversation cordial.

Anchored in Pokai Bay
While anchored in Pokai Bay on the west side of Oahu, we where entertained by a group of Spinner Dolphins and enjoyed a wonderful sunset. Earlier that evening we BBQ'd while playing some of our favorite Hawaiian tunes. The evening can pass too quickly when enjoying such tranquil moments. Pokai Bay is a great place to anchor with the protection of the jetty. When the trade winds are blowing stiff, it's important to make sure your anchor is well set if your inside the jetty. Should you drag, there is not much room before you would make contact with the jetty wall.

This is one leg of a trip from Oahu to Molokai to Maui and back to Oahu. The sailing was great except for the last part of our leg to Molokai. We had to motor for about 3 hours of the 10 hour trip. This pic is showing Maui in the distance as we approach. We spent 3 weeks on Molokai and only 3 days on Maui. The sail back to Oahu was exciting. We left Lahina at 3:30 pm and sailed through the night. Wind speeds gusted to 40kt! Wow, what a ride! We arrived to Oahu and anchored off Waikiki at 12:30 am. It was a great trip.

Dolphins Sooooo close!
The Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins swam along side Samantha for quit some time. They would actually turn sideways and look up at us. We wondered what they were "thinking".
The Spinner Dolphins
Guest aboard Samantha enjoy the Spinner Dolphins. They put on quite a show for us, following the boat for a long time.
